A Welcome Message to New Patients and Their Families
Welcome to my practice. I wanted to inform you
of a few important issues that I feel are critical
to your well-being.
I am a cancer survivor and I know firsthand
how stressful and discomforting having cancer
can be for both patient and family. That is why I
have created here in my practice the best example
of what I consider "Personal Touch Oncology". I
have attempted to create a calm, relaxing, and
soothing environment in which you are to be
cared for so that healing can take place. I firmly
believe in the most up-to-date medical treatments
possible. You will get nothing but the best treatment recommendations regardless of cost.
I have also added a flare of complementary
medicine in the form of visual and auditory
experiences designed to allow your mind to
work with your body in order to "complement"
the medical treatments, help them be more effective and decrease side-effects. Pain-free and
comfortable is my objective for your care, even
when aggressive treatments are required.
Communication is very important to your
health and healing abilities. I believe in listening
to my patients, working with them in planning
their treatment. I will not dictate your care. I
believe in hands-on medicine with frequent
follow-up visits to ensure communication and
comfort during and after treatment.
Please do not hesitate to call with questions
or concerns during working hours and I, or a
member of my staff, will get back to you ASAP,
usually within an hour, occasionally by the end
of the day. I am available nights and weekends
through our regular office number. I encourage
you to call any time there is a problem.
